The Battery supplied with your Caddytek Cruiser (RC-900) is one of the most advanced of its kind. However, batteries do have a certain life span even in normal use.

To prolong the life span of the battery, here are some helpful tips
  • When you unplug the connectors from the main unit or from the charger to the battery, ALWAYS PULL THE CONNECTING PLUG TO UNPLUG. NEVER PULL AT THE CABLE TO UNPLUG. This might break the soldered connections of the wires to the pins inside the plug.
  • Before the first use of the battery, put it on charge for 24 hours even if the battery meter may show it is already charged.
  • For the first 3 outings, you may find your Caddytek Cruiser (RC-900) to be a little sluggish at the end of the round. This is normal.
  • Always recharge your battery as soon as possible within 24 hours after use.
  • Always keep your battery on charge between rounds of golf.
  • Never play more than 18 holes without fully recharging. You will discharge the battery below its designated voltage and damage it.
  • Do not drop the battery or the charger. Secure the battery in the trunk of your car when in transit.
  • Wipe your Caddytek Cruiser (RC-900) battery after each outing to keep it clean. Use a mild detergent and warm water. Do not use any high-pressure jet washer.
  • Remove the wheels every few months to remove debris that may cause the wheels to drag. Clean and lightly grease the spindle before putting the wheels back on.
  • Do not remove the screws on the battery tray. They are sealed with a silicone sealant to prevent water from getting into the controller underneath. If you loosen these screws for any reason, you must re-seal them with a silicon sealant.
  • A four hour round of golf played once a week for 12 months is equivalent to 4 years use of a lawnmower. So once a year, at least, thoroughly inspect your cart. If you notice any symptoms of wear, consult your Caddytek Cruiser (RC-900) service agent.
  • STORAGE: If you know that you will not be playing for at least a month or more, and you prefer not to leave your battery in charge, fully charge the battery. Remove it from the charger and store in a place where the ambient temperature is above 10 degrees and lower than 30 degrees celsius. Recharge it before your next round or every 3 months if it has not used.
  • The battery and the charger are unique and cannot be replaced with a regular battery or charger from a retail outlet. Please contact the Agogos Golf service agent before you try to replace the battery or the charger. Using an incompatible battery or charger may damage the cart and void your warranty.

Stewart Golf
No. Stewart carts can only be controlled via the handset.

Why not? In the early development of Stewart Golf, a 'follow me' prototype was developed and tested. During trials we found that it is not really practical for your trolley to follow you, as you quite often do not want the trolley to go where you walk (round trees, bunkers, greens, tees etc).

If the trolley had a 'follow me' function, you would have to turn the 'follow' function on and off every time you wanted to do something other than walk down the fairway, which we felt was a distraction. Although it would be a great gimmick and fun for a while, we do not feel that it would make for a very relaxing game of golf.

There was a product on the BBC TV program 'Dragon's Den' some time ago which featured a similar concept. Despite huge exposure, this product has still not reached the market, which speaks volumes about its potential and validity.

Our remote control system allows you to send the Stewart around greens, to the next tee and so on. A huge amount of time and effort has gone in to making the Stewart easy to steer and control at all speeds. It is so easy to use that once you are used to the buttons, you don't even need to look at the handset, so you can concentrate more of your energy on your game.

A common question that we are asked is 'how many holes will a battery last?'

The problem with the question is that 18 holes is not a reliable measurement, more a 'how long is a piece of string' sort of question. 18 holes can mean 5000 yards on a flat course with a light bag, or 8500 yards on a very hilly course on a wet day with 500 yard walk between holes and a fully loaded golf bag.

The battery supplied with your Stewart is guaranteed to last for 18 holes in a 'worst case' scenario as described above. We know from our own experience (and those of our customers) that it is wholly possible that you will complete more than 18 holes with your battery, however if you regularly play more than 18 holes in a day, we recommend that you purchase an additional battery.

There are lots of ways that you can conserve battery power on the golf course:

* Try to drive the cart in as straight a line as possible and don't 'zig-zag' up the fairways.
* Use as light a bag as possible.
* If you are playing a long days golf and only have one battery, you can save a significant amount of energy by using the steering function sparingly and instead steering the cart like a conventional trolley by using the handle.
* Don't let the cart 'drag' you up hills as this will increase power consumption.
* Try to keep the cart on the short grass of a fairway, rather than the longer grass of the rough.

When we had the idea for a new type of golf trolley, we had a few very specific things we wanted to achieve:

1. Make the best performing golf trolley on the market.
2. Use new materials and processes.
3. Create an aesthetic design that would turn heads and attract younger buyers.

Point 1 was acheived by bringing together several design aspects. By placing the battery in the centre of the chassis and as low to the ground as possible, we gave the X5 Remote a very low and central centre of gravity. When this is combined with a stable wheelbase, two front wheels (instead of one central wheel) and an anti-tip stabiliser, the X5 Remote becomes almost impossible to tip over. The dual 140W motors give plenty of power, and the custom designed electronics system with speed sensitive steering make the X5 Remote easy to use at any speed.

The construction of the X5 Remote is also unique in the industry. The chassis is a virtually unbreakable roto-moulding, and the rest of the structure is a combination of bonded composites and precision injection mouldings. This, along with the main body that protects the motors and electronics, allows us to use a wide selection of colours and also allows each individual to customise their X5 Remote if they so wish.

This construction has also created the distinctive looks that have attracted so many VIP customers. The X5 Remote has been described as 'the Porsche of the trolley market' and 'your own fairway Ferrari' by several leading golf publications.

As we come closer to the cooler weather it is worth remembering some tips on how to look after your lead acid battery in the winter time.

All Batteries are electro-chemical devices and are sensitive to temperature changes. Performance is lost at reduced temperature by as much as 5% per 5°C. Charging is also much more difficult at lower temperatures. Additionally, batteries do not like long periods out of use.

* Always fully charge the battery before storing. Leave on charge for at least 24hrs to ensure full charge/equalization of cells.
* Storing the battery in a dry environment between 10°C and 30°C will ensure the best battery performance when you eventually take the battery out to use it, especially in colder weather. Don’t be tempted however to heat a battery up, this will shorten its life and is also dangerous. Never charge or store the battery on a cold concrete floor.
* Always disconnect the battery from the trolley. Also do not leave a battery connected to a charger that is switched off, as this allows the possibility of a power drain on the battery.
* Repeat a 24 hour charge after 2 months storage, and prior to first time used after storage. Even when the charger clicks over to the 'green' light, leave the battery connected to the charger for a further 4 hours to ensure the charge cycle is complete.
* Before use check for any physical damage, clean with a dry cloth, and remove any corrosion visible on the terminals.
* Ensure that connections from charger and trolley are still good prior to new season. Poor connections are biggest cause of undercharging.

Remember that the only power source for your X3R is the battery - look after it and it will look after you!

If you are worried about the weight of the battery you will be lifting on and off your trolley our lightest battery is the lithium battery weighing only 2kgs. Our standard battery weighs 6.5kgs and our extended range battery weighs 10.5kgs.

After a full round of golf it will take approx 6 to 8 hours to recharge the battery.

No, there is no fault here as our batteries come almost fully charged. Before using your trolley for the first time we recommend leaving the battery on charge for a full 8 hours even if the light on the charger does turn to green.

Yes. Regardless of the number of holes played the battery must be charged after every use.

Yes. When the green light shows, the battery is fully charged and raring to get on the golf course!

If you need to play 36 holes in a day you should either buy an extended range battery or a spare standard battery. If you opt for using two batteries make sure you rotate their use to prolong the life of both batteries.

Definitely not. You must never fully discharge the battery as this could severely reduce the capacity of the battery. If you notice the trolley starting to travel more slowly than usual you should come in as soon as possible.

The dimensions of the cart bags are 720mm in height, 400mm depth and 300mm width.

The folded dimensions of the S1 are 850mm in length, 350mm height and 560mm width.
The folded dimensions of the S3 are 900mm in length, 350mm height and 570mm width.

If you have a digital trolley and your battery does happen to run out during a round you can move the wheels out a notch to put the trolley on freewheel, this will allow you to finish your round of golf. When you get home open up the battery bag and check the terminals of the battery to make sure that they are tight, if they are and you haven’t managed to get the desired number of holes out of your battery, give our team a call.

We recommend a maximum weight of 20kg, which is more than enough for a cart bag full with 14 clubs, waterproofs, plenty of balls etc.

Both the S1 Digital and the S3 Digital weigh only 7.6kgs (without bag or battery) this is due to the lightweight and very sturdy aerospace grade aluminium frame.

So I got my new caddy... Now what do I do?

While our caddy is very easy to operate and assemble, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you review the user manual to know exactly how to operate your caddy right out of the box!

My remote control doesn't work! How do I fix this?

It sounds like you need to program your remote! No worries, it's simple! Just press the Play/Pause button on the remote control while simultaneously pressing the green PDC button on the back of the controller, located underneath the back of the electric caddy.

My caddy doesn't move when I try to use it!

Make sure that all of the connections are secure on your electric caddy. First, check the battery connector plug, and ensure that it is securely fastened into it's port. Second, make sure that your remote control has working batteries and is programmed, as explained above. Finally, make sure that your caddy's battery is fully charged!

How do I assemble my caddy?

Assembling your electric caddy is very simple.  First, take everything carefully out of the box. Attach the wheels on each axle by pushing the button in the center of the wheel. Make sure the wheel is engaged to the motor, and cannot spin freely on the axle! Then, unscrew the frame conntector from the frame connector lock and reposition it at the central locking mechanism. Lift the handlebar to it's upright position and lock the frame connector in place, and gently tighten it. Then, add the battery to the battery holder at the base of the electric caddy. Ensure that the battery is secured with the velcro straps, and plug the cable into the caddy. Finally, add the zero tip wheel to the back of the caddy by pressing one button, and make sure it locks in place. Throw on your heavy golf bag, and you're ready to go!

Do you ever update your golf caddy?

Green Ray Vehicles is always researching the latest technologies in electric caddies. We are always looking for ways to improve our current models, as well as researching the market for new and improved models to compliment our current product offerings. Feedback from our customers have been invaluable to us, and we always appreciate your ideas and suggestions.

I broke a part! Where can I get a replacement?

Please contact Green Ray Vehicles (GRV) at 707-544-2626

I opened the box, and a piece was broken! Will you replace/fix this?

Green Ray Vehicles tests every individual electric caddy and remote control before we ship them out. However, sometimes parts can be broken during the shipment process. If a part or caddy arrives broken, Contact Green Ray Vehicles (GRV) at 707-544-2626.

I've looked through the manual, the FAQs, and the videos, but I still have questions!
